Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans and interventions for students with speech and language disorders
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting, following established protocols and goals
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies and techniques to enhance students' communication and language abilities
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic success
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork
- Stay informed about the latest research, techniques, and trends in speech-language pathology to provide evidence-based services
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts SLPA license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, students, and parents
- Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student populations and changing environments
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized records and documentation
- Must pass a background check and meet all other compliance requirements
