Professional Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunities – K-12 School Setting
Location: Centralia, WA | Contract Duration: Upcoming School Year (NSY)
A school district in Centralia, WA, is seeking four dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists to support students across K-12 grades for the upcoming school year. These full-time positions offer a caseload averaging around 60 students per SLP, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. The district provides diverse opportunities including multiple elementary (K-6) roles, one position at a developmental preschool (ages 3-5, not kindergarten), and a secondary level position covering grades 7-12 across two buildings. Depending on student needs, the preschool caseload may also include some elementary students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized education programs (IEPs), and deliver therapy services to students from preschool through grade 12.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs within the educational environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide services in compliance with state and federal guidelines for public education.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Washington State SLP license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
