Speech Language Pathologist in Winsted, CT
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This role spans multiple schools in the district and runs from August 2026 through June 2027. You’ll be working districtwide, offering your expertise to a diverse student population and becoming an integral resource in students’ development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure for schools
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Demonstrated experience supporting speech, language, and communication goals in K-12 settings
- Ability to commit to an in-person, Monday through Friday schedule (35-37.5 hours per week)
- Familiarity with IEP implementation, assessment, and documentation in educational settings
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language interventions to students districtwide
- Conduct thorough assessments and re-evaluations for speech and language needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain detailed documentation to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies
- Provide progress updates and recommendations during IEP meetings
- Support students in achieving communication goals to enhance their academic and social experiences
