Make an impact supporting students with diverse needs at an alternative school setting. This part-time, contract opportunity is well-suited for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working with students with unique academic, behavioral, and emotional differences. You’ll work with a caseload of 25 students, ages 8-21 (grades 3-12), the majority in high school, who benefit from your expertise in communication strategies and individualized interventions as part of their IEPs.

Flexible scheduling is available; work 24-29 hours per week with your choice of days—except Wednesdays. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 25, 2026, covering the current school year. The following academic year starts July 6, 2026 and extends through June 17, 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Background in school-based settings, especially with special education populations
  • Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Experience with students exhibiting emotional, behavioral, and academic disabilities preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations
  • Develop and implement interventions that address each student’s specific needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents
  • Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
  • Foster an encouraging, supportive environment for all students
