You’ll work with students in grades 6-12, splitting your time between a specialized high school serving those with emotional disturbances and an innovative STEM school, providing meaningful therapy and interventions.
What you’ll bring:
- Active SLP license (Ohio)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Experience with children/adolescents, ideally within school-based or healthcare settings
- Strong familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable across varied student populations
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders
- Support students with emotional disturbances in a specialized high school setting (grades 8-12)
- Provide comprehensive services at a STEM middle/high school (grades 6-12)
- Complete all scheduled services on-site, typically in one focused 7-hour day at each location (about 15 hours per week)
- Effectively coordinate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop student goals and measure progress
- Maintain thorough and timely records in alignment with school and state requirements
