This contract role is open to Speech-Language Pathologists holding their CCC or completing their CFY, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time schedules during typical school hours, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You’ll play a pivotal part in shaping student success from Pre-K through 2nd grade, assisting children in building foundational communication skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid SLP license for Connecticut (SLP-CCC or CFY candidates encouraged)
- Prior experience or strong interest in working with Pre-K to grade 2
- Familiarity with school-based SLP services, including both direct support and consultative roles
- Confidence in participating in PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to on-site, in-person services
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy sessions for early elementary students
- Attend and contribute to PPT meetings, partnering with families and educators to tailor interventions
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and create detailed reports
- Develop and implement therapy plans based on IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to offer holistic support
