An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support K–12 students in a school setting throughout the 2026-2027 academic year in Williamsburg, VA. This role involves providing essential therapeutic services that help students develop critical skills necessary for success both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students’ fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and self-regulation challenges
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 Plan goals, as well as necessary accommodations
- Deliver direct therapy services, push-in support, and classroom consultations to foster inclusive learning environments
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Adapt equipment and classroom environments to enhance student independence and participation
- Maintain detailed documentation of services provided and track progress against established goals
Qualifications:
- Valid state Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- NBCOT certification is preferred
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations highly valued
- Familiarity with assistive technology and sensory integration techniques is a plus
Position Details:
- Full-time contract position following the academic calendar (August 2026 – June 2027)
- Work schedule aligned with school hours and holidays, including scheduled breaks and summers off
