Step into a dynamic and impactful Speech-Language Pathologist position supporting students during a maternity leave coverage. This part-time contract role is ideal for a dedicated SLP who enjoys collaboration, flexibility, and making a positive difference in a school setting. The assignment offers an excellent opportunity to shadow the current provider for seamless transition—candidates may be approved to begin 1–2 weeks prior to the October 4th start date. The position concludes December 23rd.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Kansas SLP licensure and CCC-SLP certification
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with diverse caseloads
- Strong consultative skills and experience with both direct and indirect services
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to in-person service delivery (no virtual/VOCO support for this contract)
- Professional references available for interview time (required)
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to 46 high school students
- Balance approximately 1,085 consultation and 750 direct service hours across 3 days/week
- Complete documentation, IEP participation, data tracking, and family communication within allotted weekly schedule
- Collaborate closely with faculty, families, and other specialists to support students’ speech and language goals
- Engage in meaningful shadowing and hand-off process with current SLP prior to leave
Assignment Details:
- Work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays—approx. 20 hours weekly (flexible, based on caseload needs)
- Support a vibrant high school community and make a real impact over your contract
