School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Torrance, California

A dynamic full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026–2027 school year in the Los Angeles area. This contract role is based on-site in Torrance, CA, serving multiple school assignments within the LA Unified School District. Caseloads typically range from 50 to 60 students, covering a diverse age group with some itinerant positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Participate in district-provided bi-weekly training cohorts as part of ongoing professional development
- Manage documentation, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with district standards
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP License and SLP Teaching Credential are required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status; CF candidates must secure appropriate supervision
- Experience working in school settings preferred; ranging from entry-level to seasoned professionals
Additional Information:
- Full-time position with 40 hours per week (8-hour days)
- Contract dates: August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027
- Candidates will be reimbursed up to approximately $2,500 for assessment materials
- Training cohorts begin at the start or middle of each month depending on hire date
