Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting high school students in a unique and specialized educational setting. This position focuses on providing speech-language therapy services within the Compass High Program at Ludlow High School—a dedicated environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. In this role, you'll play an essential part in helping students build vital communication and independence skills, while also guiding and supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and certifications meeting current state requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in a school setting, with high school caseloads strongly valued
- Background working with students with ASD and diverse learning needs
- Previous supervision of support staff or assistants a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive SLP services tailored for high school students in a specialized program
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans supporting students’ social, academic, and life skills
- Collaborate with the teaching team and specialists to ensure integrative and consistent support across environments
- Supervise and provide mentorship to an SLPA, ensuring alignment with therapy goals
- Contribute to IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Engage in ongoing communication with caregivers, educators, and program leadership
Position Details:
- School year: 8/27/2026 – 6/22/2027 (subject to final calendar confirmation)
- Weekly commitment: 32.5 hours
- Assignment located within Ludlow, supporting a high school population
