A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Ludlow, MA. This contract position involves working within the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative to support high school students at the Compass High Program, a specialized setting for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The role is focused on personalized, supportive education that promotes independence outside traditional classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to high school students with ASD and other learning needs.
- Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within the program.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to support student growth and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and program requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification as an SLP (SLP – CCC preferred).
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students with ASD.
- Ability to work 32.5 hours per week during the school year (estimated from August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of state regulations and compliance related to speech-language services in schools.
