Preferred candidates will be equipped with the required credentials: a valid Ohio SLP license and ODE certification. Previous experience in school or pediatric settings, particularly working with students with special needs, will set you up for success in this vital role.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Ohio SLP license
- Current ODE certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience supporting children or adolescents in school and/or pediatric environments, especially those with special needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, adjusting approaches for diverse needs and abilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, create individual treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students’ educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to documentation as required by school standards
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services delivered
