Pediatric School-Based SLP | Norristown, Pennsylvania
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting near Norristown, PA. This onsite position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2026, offering the chance to work 37.5 hours per week during the 25/26 school year. You'll play a key part in helping students—particularly those with Autism and those using AAC devices—reach their fullest communication potential.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Pennsylvania Teaching Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment strongly desired
- Proficiency with teletherapy and comfortable navigating digital therapy platforms
- Solid understanding of AAC devices and strategies for students with Autism
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students in grades K-12, with a focus on those with Autism and AAC needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student goals
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions both individually and in small groups
- Contribute to team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
