Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Waukegan, IL

Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois state SLP licensure (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship candidates (CFY) are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience with high school-aged students and a low incidence population is strongly desired
- Familiarity with assistive technology tools and interventions within a school setting
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 30 high school students with higher needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on communication and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings, student assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Provide direct interventions, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Consult and support staff and families on strategies to enhance students’ communication abilities
- Maintain accurate, timely records and compliance with all regulations
