Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology credential required
- School-based SLP experience preferred, including assessments across varied developmental stages
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt to multiple school environments, including elementary settings and Early Childhood Assessment teams
- Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students identified by school teams
- Collaborate with staff and educators to design and implement appropriate intervention strategies
- Provide support and professional insight for teachers working with students needing speech and language services
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to eligibility determinations, and help develop service plans
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district requirements
- Rotate among multiple school buildings as needed, each week running Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm
