School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Buffalo Grove, Illinois

This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking variety, professional growth, and the ability to collaborate with educators in both early childhood and elementary settings.
Responsibilities include performing student evaluations, supporting educational staff with speech and language best practices, and contributing as a critical member of assessment teams. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, you’ll have dedicated time for both direct and consultative work—without a specifically assigned caseload. The role offers the flexibility to work across different age groups, adapting to the unique needs of each school location.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP credentials required
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with early childhood evaluation and support strategies
Your Primary Duties:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for early childhood and elementary students
- Support school staff with implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource for best practices in speech and language interventions
- Participate actively in assessment team meetings and student progress reviews
- Document findings and recommendations in accordance with local and state guidelines
