School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Waterbury, Connecticut
Step into a rewarding school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a tangible impact supporting K-12 students near Waterbury, CT. These are full-time, contract roles offering two separate maternity leave coverage opportunities within a collaborative school environment. Both positions are onsite, providing you the chance to work closely with students and staff across diverse grade levels.
Position 1: Covers from end of September through mid-December
Position 2: Estimated to begin mid-November, concluding early January
You’ll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, working 35 hours per week, and will play a key role in delivering direct and consultative speech therapy services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid and active Connecticut SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working in school settings, with comfort serving K-12 caseloads
- Must complete district-required fingerprinting and background checks
- Open to working onsite; remote or SLPAs cannot be considered for these roles
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and provide evidence-based treatments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to support student success
- Maintain progress notes, participate in meetings, and ensure compliance with state and district procedures
