School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Portland, Connecticut

What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, but open to strong clinical backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
- Dedication to professional ethics and student confidentiality
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Provide direct therapeutic services, both in individual and group settings, for a range of speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support students’ progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure optimal student outcomes
