Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one promptly
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student needs and promote generalization of skills across settings
- Participate in student evaluation meetings, contributing expertise in speech and language development
- Deliver therapy through both individual and group sessions, adjusting techniques as needed for diverse learners
- Maintain comprehensive records in compliance with all regulatory requirements
