School Speech Language Pathologist - New Britain, CT
Step into a dynamic school environment near New Britain, CT, and make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Two full-time contract positions are open — both covering maternity leaves — offering the chance to work with a diverse K–12 student population. Position one is set to begin at the end of September and run through mid-December, while the second starts in mid-November and extends to the beginning of January. You’ll be joining a collaborative educational team, with access to supportive resources in a rewarding school setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is mandatory
- Previous school-based SLP experience required
- Experience working with K–12 students preferred
- Candidates must be willing and able to work fully onsite
- SLPAs will not be considered for these roles
- Completion of district background check and fingerprints is required
- Ready for a virtual interview via Zoom
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to students across the K–12 range
- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for optimal student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and develop individualized education plans as needed
