Speech Language Pathologist in Warrenton, VA
Step into a rewarding role supporting students' speech and language development in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity offers an engaging chance to work with a diverse student population while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals. You’ll be joining an onsite assignment, providing services across various schools in the area, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply with eligibility for a Virginia provisional license
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Experience in school-based SLP services preferred, but not required
- Ability to travel between schools within the district as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to the development of plans, and complete progress reports
- Maintain accurate documentation, including Medicaid billing and compliance paperwork
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, families, and other service providers
- Adapt services to address a wide range of student needs and grade levels
- Actively participate in professional development and maintain licensure as required
