School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Locust Grove, Virginia
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) supporting students in an engaging school-based environment. This contract role runs through May 20, 2027, offering a structured yet dynamic schedule as you travel between locations within the area. Assignments will span various grade levels and caseloads, giving you exposure to a variety of student needs and collaborative educational teams.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active or eligible for a Virginia SLP license; CFs must be eligible for a Virginia provisional license
- Willingness to travel between school sites within the district
- Ability to provide therapy, conduct evaluations, manage IEP processes, and document Medicaid billing as needed
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Flexibility to support a diverse caseload and adapt to multiple school settings
- Supervision available for CFs; specifics will be addressed during the placement process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to assigned students
- Complete timely evaluations, progress monitoring, and required documentation, including Medicaid paperwork
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Provide consultation and training as needed to school staff and caregivers
- Manage a full-time, onsite schedule of 37.5 hours per week, following the academic calendar
- Participate in meetings, case conferences, and team discussions to ensure optimal student outcomes
