School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Warren, Michigan

You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to deliver crucial speech-language services and foster a positive school environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or ability to obtain before start date)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially within school environments, is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, manage caseloads, and provide effective therapy sessions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in grades K-5
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and communications with educators and families
- Attend and contribute to school meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate and support teachers and staff in implementing speech-language strategies within the classroom
- Caseload of approximately 45-55 students; elementary school hours are 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
