As an onsite contract SLP or SLPA, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families in a vibrant school environment near Virginia Beach, VA.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP or SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organization abilities
- Commitment to engaging and supporting young learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions to elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement intervention plans targeting each student’s unique communication needs
- Conduct assessments and collaborate on IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate results to staff and families
- Consult with teachers and other school staff on communication strategies and classroom accommodations
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
