Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ventura, CA
Step into a vibrant educational setting dedicated to empowering preschool learners! We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), experienced in both school-based and healthcare environments, to support children aged 3-5 years. This is a contract position offering full-time hours and the opportunity to work across multiple campus locations with a diverse team. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in helping young students develop foundational communication skills.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with another SLP stationed onsite, ensuring a supportive atmosphere and manageable caseload—up to 50 children. The ideal start date is as soon as possible, with the assignment extending through June 17, 2026. Interviews will be held via Google Meet next week, providing a quick and convenient process.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid licensure or eligibility as a SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA
- Experience with early childhood (ages 3-5) in school or healthcare settings
- Strong background providing direct and indirect speech/language interventions
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Effective communication and collaboration with educators and families
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Maintain thorough documentation and accurate IEP records
- Engage families and staff in the therapy process
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapy professionals regarding shared student needs
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student learning styles
