Speech Language Pathologist in Universal City, TX

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) with a blend of virtual and on-site responsibilities. This role is ideal for SLPs passionate about assistive technology and supporting student success in a school setting. You'll work closely with an educational team and a student requiring specialized eye-gaze technology (Accent device), providing both direct and indirect services for up to 2 hours per week on-site, complemented by additional remote work as part of a 20-hour workweek commitment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with documented hours
- Demonstrated experience in school-based SLP roles
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), particularly eye-gaze systems
- Strong skills in programming, calibrating, and maintaining Accent or comparable AAC devices
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to conduct speech-language evaluations for private school referrals
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, in-person AT support and SLP intervention for a high school student at Thomas Jefferson High School
- Program, calibrate, and maintain an eye-gaze Accent device and advise on device use for the educational team
- Offer up to two hours of on-site services weekly, with remaining hours flexible/hybrid
- Complete speech-language evaluations as needed for private school student referrals
- Collaborate with the student's support team to ensure integrated educational strategies and positive outcomes
