As the school's sole SLP, you will work alongside educators to deliver comprehensive speech and language services, utilizing your skills in assessment, intervention, and program development. This role welcomes both seasoned clinicians (with CCC) and Clinical Fellows, with supervision available from the school district.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Texas SLP license (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certification preferred if clinical hours are completed
- Bilingual or monolingual candidates considered
- Experience or strong interest in collaborating with school teams
- Proven ability to support student behavior and manage time effectively
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date credentialing and reference documentation
- Enthusiastic about working with children in K-12 educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and therapy for students in grades PreK-5
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Consult with teachers, specialists, and families to support students’ progress and generalization of skills
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding speech and language development and accommodations
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and district policies
