Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the San Juan Capistrano area. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP license mandatory
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Expertise working with diverse student populations, including preschool, elementary, and middle school age groups
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage a dynamic caseload
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to an average caseload of approximately 55 students per SLP
- Provide therapy, screenings, evaluations, and develop IEPs as needed for assigned students
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, parents, and administrators to ensure student progress
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations for documentation and reporting
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation as needed for your assigned campuses
- Support continuity of services across three leaves of absence during the assignment dates
This contract offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of extending through the end of the school year, given the district’s ongoing needs. You’ll gain valuable experience and make a lasting impact in vibrant school communities.
