Speech Language Pathologist in Irvine, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth in an engaging school setting near Irvine, CA. We’re seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to step into contracted, on-site positions for the upcoming school year, with three full-time openings available across preschool, elementary, and middle schools in the San Juan Capistrano area. These assignments cover critical leave of absences, with a high likelihood of extended opportunities throughout the academic year.
This role places you at the heart of dynamic campuses, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to provide high-quality speech and language services. Each SLP can anticipate working with an average caseload of 55 students, designing and implementing individualized plans to help learners thrive academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP License
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to be on-site throughout the assignment
- Comfortable with preschool, elementary, and/or middle school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and therapy sessions for students with a variety of communication needs
- Develop and carry out individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
