Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and valid Virginia SLP license required
- Previous experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to work onsite full-time; remote/VOCO/hybrid options are not available
- Familiarity with IEP process and progress tracking for students
- Commitment to timely completion of credentialing requirements, including a VA Department of Social Services check and TB test
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in a school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to support student communication needs
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress
- Participate fully in the life of the school community and multidisciplinary teams
