Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Virginia SLP licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children (elementary, middle, or high school, any age group appreciated)
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and collaborate with other educational professionals
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Willingness to complete VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
What You'll Do:
- Provide speech and language therapy services onsite within district schools—no virtual or hybrid options
- Evaluate students, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to facilitate student progress and overall well-being
- Maintain required documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and student progress reviews
- Engage with a wide range of age groups and needs, with assignments determined based on district priorities
- Support students in developing essential communication skills to succeed inside and outside the classroom
