Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid and current SLP license in California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility preferred
- Previous school-based experience is strongly desired
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and appropriate therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to students, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Monitor and document student progress and maintain detailed, compliant records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decisions regarding student care
- Provide support and resources to educators and parents about best practices in speech-language development
