Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Cottonwood, California
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support Pre-K through 8th grade students for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers full-time hours and the chance to work across multiple school sites, fostering growth and communication skills in young learners. The assignment will span the next school year and is based in the greater Redding, CA area.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience or willingness to work in schools with students from Pre-K through 8th grade
- Clinical Certification (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Familiarity with pediatric populations and diverse communication disorders
- Comfortable with delivering both in-person and teletherapy services
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students identified through referrals or screening
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs
- Consult with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and classroom integration
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with school and state standards
- Rotate between 3–4 school sites, engaging with a dynamic, supportive team
