Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Temple, TX
Step into a rewarding opportunity impacting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Serving vibrant communities near Temple, TX, these roles offer two unique settings—supporting students in either a district with a diverse education spectrum or focusing on a general education population.
In Bartlett, you’ll provide speech-language services across the entire district, working with approximately 40 students. Your caseload will include elementary-aged children in life skills classes and middle/high school students in general education. This position allows you to foster communication skills across a range of developmental and educational needs.
Alternatively, the Troy opening provides full-time hours. You’ll also serve the full district, engaging primarily with a general education student body. Both opportunities welcome Clinical Fellows and offer dedicated supervision to help you grow professionally.
Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Texas SLP license; CCCs preferred, but Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
- Experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads ideal
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Compassion for supporting children with a range of communication disorders
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with school district requirements
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide supportive supervision (if applicable) and guidance to students and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success strategies
