Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic elementary setting near Temecula, CA. This highly collaborative position runs from August 10, 2026, through December 2026, with potential for extension to the full academic year. You’ll provide critical speech and language support during a maternity leave, focusing on three medically fragile classrooms. Work alongside an experienced SLP and a dedicated SLPA to ensure comprehensive care.
Your role will center around partnering with colleagues to serve a specialized caseload, making a difference in the lives of students with unique communication needs. This opportunity is also open to qualified SLPAs and places a strong emphasis on AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device experience.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current California licensure as an SLP-CCC or SLPA
- Previous experience working in school settings required
- Demonstrated experience with AAC devices
- Comfortable supporting medically fragile students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services primarily in three medically fragile classrooms
- Collaborate with the assigned SLP and SLPA for comprehensive student support
- Assess, plan, and document students’ needs and progress according to IEP goals
- Integrate AAC strategies into daily therapy and classroom routines
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and consultations with staff and families
The weekly schedule consists of 32.5–35 hours, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a balanced workweek. For SLPAs, competitive compensation of $81.90 per hour is offered.
