Step into a rewarding contract opportunity located near Temecula, CA, providing crucial speech-language services at the elementary level. This assignment, beginning August 10, 2026, and running through December 2026, is designed to cover a maternity leave, with the potential to extend through the academic year. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, including another SLP and an SLPA, to serve a caseload that focuses on three medically fragile classrooms.

The ideal professional will bring solid school-based SLP experience, and a strong background in supporting students who utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. This environment fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners and their families.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active SLP (CCC) license or SLPA credentials
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary-age students
  • Proficiency with AAC devices and supporting communication for medically fragile students
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in medically fragile classrooms
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and therapy staff to create effective communication strategies
  • Assist with evaluations, goal setting, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings as required

This contract position offers weekly hours between 32.5 to 35, housed within a supportive and collaborative educational setting. Compensation for SLPAs is $81.90 per hour, while SLPs with CCC credentials can expect $95–$98 per hour.
