Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist - Pennsylvania
A virtual speech-language pathologist (SLP) role is available to provide teletherapy services for students in grades 5 through 12. This full-time contract position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with typical school day hours around 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. for middle school and 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for high school. The assignment runs from August 24th through June 4th.
Responsibilities include delivering speech therapy services and participating in IEP meetings, utilizing an electronic IEP platform. The position supports on-site SLPs who serve more intensive caseloads at the elementary and PreK-4th grade levels, as well as conducting evaluations. The district has expanded autism support classrooms and seeks SLPs experienced with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), notably those familiar with Proloquo.
Caseload management follows the state-mandated cap of 65 students to ensure quality service delivery. New clinicians will benefit from established support systems, including weekly collaborative meetings as needed, to facilitate effective integration and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with state licensure to practice
- Proficiency in teletherapy methods and virtual service delivery
- Experience working with school-aged children, specifically grades 5-12
- Familiarity with AAC devices and software, particularly Proloquo, preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and electronic documentation tools
- Ability to manage caseloads in accordance with state regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
