Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist | Pennsylvania
A full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide teletherapy services for students in grades 5 through 12. This role supports middle and high school students within a structured school schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The contract term runs from August 24th through June 4th.
Responsibilities include delivering telepractice speech and language therapy aligned with individual education plans (IEPs), participating in related meetings, and collaborating closely with on-site SLPs. The on-site team focuses on more intensive classes, elementary caseloads (PreK-4th grades), and evaluations, allowing virtual services to be tailored to upper-grade students. The school currently supports over 15 autism classrooms, emphasizing the need for SLPs proficient with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, particularly Proloquo.
Caseloads will not exceed the state cap of 65 students, ensuring manageable workload and quality service delivery. Weekly support meetings are available for incoming SLPs to facilitate smooth onboarding and continued professional growth. The school employs an IEP writing platform, so prior experience with IEP documentation is beneficial.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state SLP license
- Experience providing teletherapy in educational settings
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology practices
- Proficiency in AAC, especially with Proloquo
- Ability to manage caseloads up to 65 students
- Skill in using IEP writing software
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for virtual service delivery
