Teletherapy Speech Language Pathologist in PA

A full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide teletherapy services for students in grades 5 through 12, from approximately 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM for middle school and 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM for high school. The contract runs from August 24th through June 4th, totaling 37.5 hours per week. This remote role supports students through teletherapy platforms while collaborating with on-site SLPs who manage more intensive classrooms and early elementary caseloads.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using teletherapy best practices.
- Managing a caseload that adheres to the state cap of 65 students.
- Participating in IEP meetings and documentation utilizing the school’s designated IEP writer.
- Providing support for students with autism, especially those using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools like Proloquo.
- Collaborating with on-site SLPs to ensure continuity of services, especially for students in intensive classrooms and younger grades.
- Engaging in weekly meetings designed to support incoming SLPs through training and mentorship.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with eligibility to provide services in Pennsylvania.
- Experience delivering school-based teletherapy services, preferably within middle and high school populations.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies, particularly for autistic students.
- Knowledge of IEP development and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families.
- Ability to manage and document caseloads maintaining compliance with state guidelines.
