Remote Speech Language Pathologist in PA
A full-time Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to provide teletherapy services to students from 5th through 12th grade, covering middle and high school schedules. This contract role spans from August 24th through June 4th, with approximately 37.5 hours per week. Sessions typically run from 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. for middle school and 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for high school.
The position focuses on delivering speech therapy services and supporting Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings through telepractice. The school utilizes an IEP writer, and virtual services are designed to complement existing on-site SLPs who manage intensive classrooms and early childhood caseloads (PreK-4th grade). A significant emphasis is placed on working with students in autism support classrooms, many of whom utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems such as Proloquo.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive teletherapy SLP services to grades 5-12
- Managing caseloads within state limits (not to exceed 65 students)
- Collaborating with on-site staff to support students with complex communication needs
- Participating in regular meetings to strategize and coordinate services
- Utilizing AAC devices and systems as needed to facilitate communication skills development
Qualifications and desired skills include:
- Experience with telepractice speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with AAC, particularly Proloquo
- Expertise serving students with autism and other communication challenges
- Proficiency with IEP documentation and compliance standards
