Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Remote - Florida
A contract opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists to provide telespeech and teletherapy services in a school setting, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role involves delivering direct speech services, completing Individualized Education Program (IEP) documentation, and actively participating in IEP meetings via virtual platforms. Evaluations will be conducted in person as tele-evaluations are not part of this assignment.
This position will support multiple schools located within Golden Gate City and Immokalee, combining caseloads to ensure comprehensive coverage. The assignment runs from mid-August through late May, offering up to 35 hours per week, structured around a 7-hour workday. Flexibility in scheduling may be considered, with options for full-time or part-time engagement.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist licensure
- Proven experience with teletherapy and telespeech techniques in educational settings
- Prior successful completion of similar virtual assignments is strongly preferred
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Familiarity with Florida school system credentialing, including obtaining a JLA badge
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborating with educators and parents through virtual meetings
- Complying with district policies and state regulations for credentialing and reporting
