Step into an exciting opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers a fulfilling, full-time schedule from August 13, 2026 through May 28, 2027. You'll work onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm, providing essential SLP services directly to students who need your expertise.
Your role will focus on evaluating, diagnosing, and delivering speech/language therapy to a diverse caseload in an educational setting. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student growth and communication success. Candidates must have an active North Carolina SLP license; Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply!
Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP license (required)
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credentials accepted
- Previous experience working in elementary or middle school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices and collaboration with school staff
- Passion for supporting students of varying backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Attend IEP meetings and consult with multidisciplinary team members
- Foster positive working relationships with students, parents, and educational staff
- Adapt and differentiate therapy approaches based on student needs
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology
