Ideal candidates will support a caseload of approximately 60 students, from Pre-K through 5th grade, collaborating alongside a virtual SLP to provide comprehensive therapy and IEP services. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are a Clinical Fellow (CFY), your expertise and desire to contribute to a nurturing educational setting will be highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible SLP licensure in Virginia
- ASHA CCC or in process for CFY
- School-based SLP experience or strong interest in pediatrics
- Ability to work onsite with a diverse Pre-K–5 caseload
- Collaborative and organized, comfortable coordinating services with virtual and onsite professionals
- Strong communication skills with children, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to Pre-K–5 students
- Support and collaborate with a virtual SLP to ensure all student needs are met
- Perform evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain records in compliance with regulations
- Provide consultation to families and team members regarding speech and language needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team planning, and professional development
- Encourage student engagement and progress with creative, evidence-based interventions
