School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Tacoma, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology support for K-12 students throughout the 2026-2027 school year. You'll work closely with school teams in the Tacoma, WA area to empower students with effective communication, building their confidence and academic success.
In this in-person position, you’ll manage a diverse caseload of K-12 students, helping identify, assess, and treat speech and language disorders. The schedule follows the student school calendar, with full-time onsite hours totaling 37.5 per week.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Washington State Department of Health
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Washington State SLP ESA (WAC 392-172A-02090)
- Successful completion of fingerprinting, WSP, and FBI/sexual misconduct clearances
- Valid Washington State driver’s license or proof of reliable mobility
- Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Confidence with IEP development, case management, evaluations, documentation, and participation in student support meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy services within a K-12 school environment
- Conduct assessments and provide accurate, timely evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in alignment with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to maximize student communication outcomes
- Participate actively in team meetings, contributing expertise and support
