Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for a school-based SLP job in Syracuse, NY? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join a school district in Syracuse, New York for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with students, collaborating with educators, and helping children develop essential communication and language skills.
Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a school-based setting
- Complete speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and/or group therapy based on student needs
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other members of the educational team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and professional requirements
- Support students in improving articulation, language, fluency, voice, and communication skills
SLP Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- New York State Speech-Language Pathology licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
