Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity in the Houston area, providing meaningful speech-language pathology support to middle or high school students. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) begins August 11, 2026, and extends through May 26, 2027, serving a supportive school environment on the southwest side of the city. Candidates’ home ZIP codes will be taken into consideration to help with school assignments, ensuring a convenient commute and manageable caseload.
Your role includes delivering comprehensive SLP services, supporting students across grades 6-8 or 10-12, depending on your preference. You’ll work closely with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals and contribute to positive learning outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license and Florida licensure (please include an image of your license with your application)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Able to manage a caseload of 50-60 students
- Comfortable leading therapy sessions, participating in ARDs, conducting evaluations, and reporting progress
- District will require verification of fingerprinting (may be transferable if already on file)
- Flexible working between middle and high school settings as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to a diverse adolescent group
