Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in the Houston area—make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a full-time contract role. You’ll work on-site in middle or high school settings, with assignments carefully considered based on your location and preference for grade levels, ranging from grades 6-8 and 10-12.
You will have the chance to manage a caseload of 50–60 students, performing a comprehensive range of SLP responsibilities including direct therapy, participation in ARDs, and conducting evaluations. Collaboration with educational teams and families is essential, supporting students' growth and communication development throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLP license and Florida Licensure; candidates must provide an image of their license.
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to handle responsibilities from therapy delivery to ARD meetings and assessments for middle and high school populations.
- Willingness to complete any additional fingerprinting requirements, unless already on file.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based speech-language services to assigned students.
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate and participate in ARDs, contributing to IEP development and implementation.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and records in accordance with district policies.
