Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Sterling, Alaska
Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are invited to bring their expertise to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a welcoming educational setting near Sterling, AK. Multiple openings are available for the 2026-2027 school year, with contract assignments running from August 17, 2026, through May 21, 2027. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Alaska SLP license or eligibility to obtain (all SLPs and SLP-CFs)
- Valid Alaska Educator Certification or eligibility (required for SLPs/SLP-CFs; not required for SLPAs)
- Alaska SLPA license (required for SLPAs)
- Experience or interest in school-based, pediatric speech-language caseloads
- New graduates (SLP Clinical Fellows) welcome to apply
Role Highlights:
- 37.5 paid hours per week (40 total hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day)
- 8-hour days, Monday through Friday
- Manage a diverse caseload of up to 55 students, assigned by school building
- Serve students across a range of ages and needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engage in meaningful intervention, assessments, and support for children and teens in a supportive, well-resourced district
