Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska SLP or SLPA license required
  • SLPs must hold (or be eligible to obtain) Alaska Educator Certification
  • SLPA candidates only need current Alaska SLPA license
  • Background or experience in pediatric or school-based settings greatly valued
  • SLP Clinical Fellows (CFY) and experienced clinicians both welcome

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to a diverse student population (pre-K–12)
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Complete evaluations, progress reports, and maintain precise documentation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administration, and families
  • Manage a caseload, with SLPs overseeing up to approximately 55 students
  • Employ evidence-based intervention, supporting students’ academic and social development
