Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Statesville, NC

We are searching for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) interested in full-time contract opportunities beginning Fall 2026 and extending through the end of the school year. These positions serve schools near Mocksville, NC, offering a unique chance to work with diverse student populations while gaining valuable experience in both middle and elementary school settings. Multiple needs can be filled by one individual for continuity of care, from October through June.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in North Carolina
- CCC-SLP, recent graduates with CFY, and pediatric SLP experience all welcome
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Familiar with supporting students in self-contained classrooms and using communication devices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services tailored to students’ IEPs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students (Oct–Dec), then about 55 students (Jan–June) at elementary and middle school levels
- Deliver services across 2 days each per week at assigned elementary and middle school sites (October–December)
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
- Support students in self-contained classes and facilitate the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
Applicants will play a vital role in covering maternity leave from October–December and transitioning to a replacement position January–June, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality speech services across the school year.
