In this full-time position, you'll serve a manageable caseload of 40-50 students from kindergarten through 12th grade—most of whom are in elementary school. The school year runs from August 17th to May 28th, giving you the chance to make a lasting impact over the academic term. Your work will span six different school sites, and you'll have the autonomy to design your own schedule for serving students, allowing for professional flexibility and balance.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience with elementary-aged students highly desired
- Previous K-12 or school-based experience a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to different school environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster success for each student
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between six schools—plan your service days and locations to best meet caseload demands
